Pickup & Delivery
Spin Digital is not responsible for storage of any printed materials. Extra printed materials may be returned with shipment of product only if requested by the customer. Spin Digital will do everything possible to meet acceptable delivery dates, such as may have been quoted or acknowledged by our sales representatives, these are only estimated dates of delivery. In the event a client fails to pay within 60 days for any work completed, or in the event a client fails to accept delivery or pick up his finished product within 14 days from completion, Spin Digital has the right to sell, dispose of, or use any such material on hand in any way the company chooses. Guarantee
Spin Digital guarantees that we will provide an exact manufacturing of the client provided audio/data masters and digital files within the acceptable industry standard (see A Special Note On Color Accuracy below). If not, we will rerun the order to the clients satisfaction. Spin Digital cannot be held liable for errors or omissions in the client provided design and audio/data masters. Once design and audio masters are submitted and authorized for manufacturing we will charge for all work performed, even if project is subsequently canceled. Spin Digital Media reserves the right to decide if a product is within industry standards.
A Special Note On Sign-Off
The last step in the process of submitting an order is to "sign-off" on the completed design and layout. We will provide a digital proof if asked (this is to give the client a chance to catch any typographical or other errors). This digital proof is not 100% color accurate (it will be close, but not exact). Once the client has reviewed their materials (we highly recommend that the client takes their time to do this thoroughly), they sign-off on the project and it goes into production. ONCE THE PROJECT IS SIGNED-OFF, ANY ERROR IN CONTENT BECOMES THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT. Any written or verbal instruction to proceed with the manufacture of a product is deemed to be an acceptance of the design as-is, and as such, the client has signed-off on the project.
A Special Note On Color Accuracy
One thing that always is a point of concern for new designers is whether the final result will match the exact color they have in mind - sadly, the answer is no, probably not. Many variables affect how color is designed, printed, and perceived: the type and settings of the designer's monitor, the paper stock, the printing press used, the color of lighting, maybe even the alignment of the planets. The information about the problems and issues dealing with "accurate" color would fill many volumes.
Even in this digital age, offset printing is still an analog, mechanical process, still more "art" than "science", and it is important to keep that in mind. Industry standards calls for 95% color accuracy, which we easily exceed, but 100% "perfection" is unobtainable. Our print is done directly from your digital files, and if they are on color, your project will be too. To ensure best results, make sure your (or your designer's) monitor is accurately calibrated before beginning the design, keep your expectations realistic, and you should be delighted by the final result. Attitude is everything.
Spin Digital reserves the right to refuse any order.
All masters, artwork, photos, films etc. furnished to Spin Digital by the client remain the property of the client for a period of five years and are not returned automatically with your order. The client must incur additional shipping charges if they are to receive any returns of their masters or film works.
While Spin Digital will treat the clients material with the utmost care, Spin Digital specifically denies liability for any damage or loss due to fire, casualty or negligence while the clients’ materials are in the care, control or possession of Spin Digital. Client should provide Insurance coverage as Spin Digital policy does not provide protection for clients materials while in transit or in our possession.
Clients should be aware that when sending US and International packages to Spin Digital, there could be brokerage and customs fees levied on declared waybill values of over CDN $20.00. We will accept these packages, however the charges will be added to your final invoice.
Spin Digital limits liability to rerun or refund (at our sole option) on the services performed, providing that the product is deemed defective by reason of workmanship or material. Reruns or refunds will only commensurate with the quantity of goods returned to Spin Digital. If a project is canceled while in process, the client agrees to pay for all services rendered up to that time.
No product is replaced, or credit given, more than sixty (60) days after the clients receipt of the product.
Spin Digital products are unconditionally guaranteed against defects in quality and workmanship.
